Connie Guffy Kirk, (born 1956) received her BFA from the University of Kansas in 1980. As the primary caregiver to her three children, Kirk took a hiatus from her studio practice through the 90s and early aughts. In the last decade, she has steadily increased her artistic output working primarily with textile, egg tempera, and graphite. In the past five years, Kirk has focused on refining her unique approach to small drawings realized in graphite on paper.
